A cheaper more portable version of the plastic, wire and metal crates is the soft sided dog crate.

All sides of soft sided crates are constructed from breathable fabric material and most are ventilated with nylon netting around the sides. Due to the light-weight construction of the soft sided dog crates they are cheaper to purchase and easier to carry around, usually only requiring you to insert small poles to hold them up, some models simply require you to remove them from their bag and they pop up.

Some variations of the soft sided dog crate have handles and allow you to easil transport your beloved pet while moving or driving. These are generally only recommended for smaller sized dogs however.
